Day 9 of #90daysofblogging

Well, I couldn't find my quilled jewelry I said I would post. But really, when you have craft areas from the basement to the upstairs attic and everywhere in between, how could you find anything!?!?!

But I did find a few other pieces of jewelry I had made that I will show.

The first one shows a pair of wire wrapped earrings with a stone dangle and a pendant that goes with it on the bottom row, far left. The purple, pink and yellow ones are bracelets and the middle photo shows a pendant made with eggshells and ink applied onto a wooden backing. The bottom photo is a pin made to look like a book. I used scrabble pieces to make the foundations of the "book" and then added embellishments to it. I believe I made this when I cam back from visiting by brother and sister in law in Virginia one year. I love going there and seeing the history, especially the grand plantation homes. It says "My Diary" at the top and then "Life on the Plantation" is the "title" of the book.

Ok Tamiko, this is for you........

Aren't they beautiful? They really turned out very good. I really like the pin the best I think.

Well, if you have the time, please go visit the other ladies blogs that are doing this challenge with me.

Day 8 of #90daysofblogging

Good day everyone. I want to show some jewelry that I have made in the past. Some I still make once in a while, the other, wire wrapping I felt I just could not grasp and so I quit. I think other people do it beautifully but just not something I was good at.

The first one is a charm bracelet I made using beads and charms and the second one is my poor attempt at wire wrapping. I see others doing it and they look just beautiful.

The two above are necklaces I made for my sister to give as Christmas presents for a couple of her friends.

And this leaf looking wire wrapping has stones dangling in the center.

I really like making different types of jewelry when I have the time. The thing is, I myself can't wear it if it has metal on it because I break out. I really have fun making the Cha Cha type bracelets. I have tons of jewelry that I have made and are just sitting in boxes. I think every crafter has that tho. They get into something make a ton and then don't think it is good enough to sell. Maybe next post, if I can dig it out, I will post some of my quilled jewelry that I have made. I love to quill, it takes a lot of time, but I find it very relaxing.

Well thank for stopping by and don't forget to visit the other ladies blogs when you get the chance.

Day 7 of #90daysofblogging

Ok, so...today.....I got nothing again. Sorry!

Just kidding..........
Ok so, you know how you get a letter in the mail from the courts saying you have been picked for Jury duty? Well, I got one, and like the good honest citizen that I am, I filled out the part I needed to and sent it back. Yes I did, cuz that's how I roll! I did my duty.

So yesterday I am cleaning off the kitchen table, I needed to, I have been crafting in there (rolling eyes because I have taken over the whole house) and low and behold buried underneath all that good craftyness was the part I have to keep to remind me of jury duty. I was to show up.......on the 4th.......I forgot......(holding my head in my hands) OMG, what have I done and what will they do to me!!!!!
My husband brings in the mail and low and behold, there is a letter from the courts. Oh shit! I am in contempt of court, hell, I don't even know what that means exactly.
I have to go and explain to the judge as to why I did not show up!!!!!

Should I lie, should I make up a good story? NO, I plan to tell the truth, but first......I have to go to the doctors and have blood taken (for a medication I am on that is new) then I have to go to the dentist and have a broken took pulled (been waiting a week to have this taken care of) and then I am going to go and talk to the judge and ask him "what more do you want, I already gave blood and my eye tooth, well, not really my eye tooth but it sounds better LOL.

So, why didn't I go? I forgot, plain and simple, I forgot. Hell, I can't tell you what I had for dinner the night before sometimes. I forget a lot lately. But I am going to ask them, "don't you ever make a mistake?" and if they say no, I am going to pull out the letter they sent me and say "Oh yeah, then why did I get someone elses letter?" Yes, they sent me an envelope with MY name on it but the letter was addressed to another woman with her address on it!!!!!!! LOLOL

Stay tuned, unless they don't let me have my one phone call and they don't let you play on computers all day..............

Update, I am not wearing prison garb!
Oh and go check out the other blogs here...

Day 6 of #90daysofblogging

Today.........Yea....I got nothing.........

(ten minutes later)

Still got nothing................

I played a little in my junk journal. Sprayed some paint, used molding paste......and something else.

(5 minutes later)

Sat at the computer almost all day looking at youtube videos, listening to music and playing games.
Then last night, I watched Married At First Sight. I am rooting for the couple that everyone thought would not make it at the beginning. Not to bash men, but all the men on that show are......whinney. The women are very strong women but the men......not so much! And now I am beginning to think that, yes, all men are the same. They grow up a lot slower than women. (Please, no hate mail)

Nope, still got nothing, so you might as well check out the other blogs, maybe they did something exciting. I know that is where I am headed LOLOLOL

Day 5 of #90daysofblogging

Day 5 of 90....

Today is pallet day! LOL you can go from this...

To this...

In just 3 months!!! I'm kind of a procrastinator :::rolling eyes here::: actually, I am the queen!! :::insert crown:::

here is how it is done,

Month 1: Find a pallet. Lucky for me, my neighbors rebuild them so I got two from them.

Month 2: Find wood that will fill in the empty spaces, again, I am lucky enough to have a neighbor that had extra pallet wood for me to use.

Month 3: Paint it in one day getting it done within about 2 hours, that is with putting a coat of poly on it also. I know, I know.....The star looks funky. I need to work on that.

OK, thats all for today, thanks for stopping by, HUGS and don't forget the visit my friends...

Day 4 of #90daysofblogging

Today is day 4 of the 90 day challenge, so far so good!

This is a page I did practicing different lettering, inspired by Joanne Sharpe, as you can tell LOL

I just used colored pens to letter with and then used a black gel pen to draw and doodle with. I then used water color crayons to give it some background color. I really need to work on my lettering, I love the different ways you can write but I just can not do it without looking at someone elses work so I really need to practice more.

Thanks for stopping by, HUGS and don't forget to visit the other ladies blogs that are doing this with me.

Day 3 of #90daysofblogging

Today is a watercolor painting done using just water, watercolor crayons, and a pen well I guess you will need a paint brush also......

All I did was wet the paper then get my brush wet and touch the crayon to make puddles of color, when it was dry, I outlined what I thought may look like flowers (not real flowers, you would get from a loved one  wink, wink) but flowers from my mind. I then just added some details with my gel pen. This was a challenge for May on the Mixing It Up Facebook page I belong to. Go check it out and follow along. We have great fun.

You can also check out the other blogs of the ladies that are joining me in the "fun" adventure. They are wonderful women so please check out their work also.
